Walk with a View

These two go stir crazy if they don't get some grass under their paws. Considering we have a garden that's saying something. For our two the simple act of being in the car is exciting for them, whether we pick hubby up from work or its the journey to somewhere (anywhere).

This week we decided the woods were called for. It was a slight bit cooler, not muggy much. However when get there they were using the woods for clay shooting (they are privately owned). So we set off driving again and went to some woods on the land where I work. Its a walk from the car park up into sheltered woods where there is a stream as well. I have been once with Marco, and i know he loved it. This time it was the two of us and the two of them. (secretly hoping we might get some pictures this time).

Inka decided to actually go in the water all by herself until big splash monster marco came along and got her wet. She soon trotted out of the water.

Then on the walk back down through a regularly used field (by sheep) we decided it would be 'fun'  to get some pics of them both.. together.. hahaha.. right.

It was going so well, we even introduced the balls. and then Marco rolled around and then Inka!!

Almost...

Inka's First Trip Too The Beach

We enjoyed a family day out recently with family who came up all the way from the southern coast. Our niece who  is currently hankering after a dog herself decided to be Marcos main dog walker around the park. we were slightly concerned as she is only 9 and very slight in size. Marco as we know is very tall and powerful, I could only stand back and hold my breath. But to our pleasant surprise he heel walked very well stopping when she did and did not pull either. Inka was on her best behaviour too, but then that girl is ALWAYS on her best behaviour. After an hour or so and ice creams were eaten, we set off for the nearest beach in order for the dogs to have a run around.

Its one i have visited with Marco often. You have to time it just so in order to have the beach available to you. otherwise its just rocks and sea.

Inka approached the stones and set nimbly off over them, following David onto the beach section. Marco used to it all was flying up and down the beach between David and the rest of the family. She was in her element, sniffing out seaweed, digging in the mud and peering into rock pools. At one point we caught her carefully rolling in the mud getting  just her head dirty.

As we got quite far down the beach i called to her to see if she would look over. not only did she look over she surprised us all by running back to me. Proud mama moment. xx

Here is Marco and Inka. Marco was 1 when his picture was taken and Inka is 8. They have great genetics, and we can only hope he is as half as calm as she is when he's 8
